I have been using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries to power a wireless thermometer in my freezers. They have been in the freezer at well below zero temps for almost 2 months now. So far the thermometers still work as they should. Don't know how they would hold up powering a camera using more power but it is still interesting.

I believe it has something to do with power draw and distribution. Obviously I'm not a scientist or engineer but when I've used the Energizer Lithiums, and the cam dies... I like to check each battery in the camera and have noticed that certain positions in the battery lineup are the point of failure. I strongly recommend checking each battery as it can be a complete waste to throw away a full group because 1 died.
