I was fortunate to have this guy come into a scrape this evening. Its the first time I hunted this area this season. I knew from past years there would be a scrape in this spot. I almost didn't hunt because of crappy, drizzley, windy weather. I even told my wife I wasn't hunting this evening. I knew if I didn't , I would regret sitting home so I decided to go out. I only sat a half hour before he showed up. He turned broadside at approx 17 yards, I had good shot placement, he made it about 80 yards. I could see him running for about 50 yards and stumble a bit before loosing sight due to trees. He was most likely down within 15 seconds of being shot. He's a good size midwestern buck. The field dressed weight says 210 lbs, I'm, not sure how accurate the scale is its my buddies.
